Healthy Banana Bread With New Style


(1 pound served)


1/3 cups melted coconut oil / extra virgin olive oil / vegetable oil

1/2 cups honey or maple syrup

2 eggs

1 cup mixed ripe banana (2 large bananas)

Cup of milk (you can use vegan milk substitute or water)

1 tablespoon baking soda

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2tablespoons ground cinnamon, more for garnish

1 whole cup whole wheat flour

Ption:1/2Chopped walnuts / pecans / chocolate chips / raisin-like cup add-ons



Pre-heat oven to 165 degrees Celsius

Grease a loaf pan (9 x 5 inches preferred) with melted butter.

Mix oil or honey with together in a large bowl.

Add eggs to it and beat well with a whisk.

Now put the banana and milk in the pot. Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature and not directly outside the fridge.

Add the baking soda, vanilla essence, salt and cinnamon to the baking - shaking mixture.

Stir in the flour until just combined. Some glitches are okay and don’t make the mixture too liquid-y with consistency. (To measure the amount of flour to be added, it is better to pour it into a measuring cup with a spoon than to scoop it out at once and then gently grind it with a knife)

If you add any add-ons, sprinkle some now.

Pour the cake into our pan with grated bread and sprinkle very little cinnamon on top, if you are a fan.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick with a toothpick in the center comes out clean.

After you stop baking, let the bread cool in the oven for 10 minutes. Cut banana bread and serve hot or cold with a cup of tea!
